Sul & Bean: The Most Refreshing Dessert Spot in K-Town

Located on the second floor of the MaDang Courtyard, Sul & Bean is a must-have bingsoo shop. After a night of delicious dinner at King Yubu, The Foodie Fam and I went upstairs to visit my all time favorite dessert place in K-Town. It didn’t matter that we had stuffed ourselves full, we polished off three bowls of bingsoo that night.

Sul & Beans offers a variety of flavors, ranging from traditional Injeolmi with dried dates and soft rice cake to Earl Grey. If those aren’t your style, they have several fruity bingsoo such as their Mango or, one of my favorites, Yogurt Berry which offer refreshing, tangy flavor. They do cycle their fruit according to the season they are ripe so double check what’s available!

The thing that makes the bingsoo at Sul & Bean special is their finely grated ice, holding a subtle taste of cream that acts as the perfect base for their toppings. The texture itself is like eating the fluffiest snowball that has you coming back for more until you’re scraping the bottom of the bowl before you know it.

Sul & Bean is so popular, it’s packed even during cold weather but if shaved ice isn’t your speed, they also offer “toast”. Essentially, it’s their bingsoo toppings on warm, milk bread to beat the chill.

Overall, Sul & Beans is the dessert place to go after having a good meal in any one of K-Town’s amazing eateries. The bingsoo’s are big enough to share with a date or a couple friends, light enough to fill you but not make you burst. And you definitely need to make multiple visits to catch their rotating seasonal items! We’ll see you there!
